Got some good feedback from In-Progress, notes are at the bottom of the page. Didn't do a lot last week, mostly got caught up on other classes and studied for Midterms, but I met up with my sound engineer and we discussed a plan. He is going to help me rerecord the narration next week when I get back from break, and while I am home I'm bringing a Zoom recorder to record some ambiance sound from around my neighborhood.

Did some particle simulation tests, but I am going to need to really deep dive into it :/ nothing to show from that.

Fiddled with the monochromatic color, so here is a blue test:

(lighting needs work, same with the color correction in the beginning)

The rest of this week, I want to redo the stopmo before I go home, fix the animation with my current rig (weight-paint as I go), maybe get a full testRender of both scenes?, and try to get camera-lock with more intentional composition.

2/23 In Progress

  • Speak slower w the breath it deserves, might need edit, feels rushed, more time might be good

  • The face of model Works!

    • Dream like, softer gestures and floaty, dont crunch the rig

    • Less floaty cam, drift it better

    • Accio moonbeam

    • Less performance, dont break rig

    • Weight painting

  • Overusing camera moves? Pull back a little, less dramatic sweeps

  • Render engine from kevin!!!?

  • Post production w stop-mo, color correction, dreamy atmosphere

  • Camera, TELL the story. Show-off the world

  • Particle simulation, behind the 3D

  • Textured monochromatic fine, limited color

    • Deep blue in the monochromatic

    • Brightest value for the LIGHT fairy/moonbeam

    • Everything else let it dilute

  • End stopmo, too choppy, very rushed, needs to be smoother on 1s with some easing

Unsure about the opening bit, and needs a sound update. Might revisit the words and such, and gotta finish the credits.
