Animatic Update

Tried a LongShot style thing. Updated some of the set as well, hopefully it is more clear.

Also, for texturing purposes I am trying to do something that resembles block printing, like the illustrations from the book itself.

I also typed up a little script, for a narration over the piece. It is a cutting of quotes from the book, and might be shortened more.

Dear Moonbeam,

I felt all day, even while working in the garden, that something would happen.

I seemed to be pulled by an invisible force to get up, don my dressing gown and slippers, and slip out the back door. The same unseen force pulled me across Bellevue Hill Road, up the path toward the Tower, up the steps to within a few feet of the great dragonlike tower. I didn’t resist - it was such a pleasant force, friendly, warm, and confidence inspiring.

I looked up to the stars. Sure enough, there was the comet dragging its glittering tail across the southeast sky.

As the comet hurtled through the Hercules cluster, myriads of moonbeams were shaken from the crescent moon by the force of the comet’s rush. Moonbeams poured into the Little Dipper. Polaris stood on guard.

Some of the shiny moonbeams were falling atop the tower.

How to capture them? I ran around in despair till suddenly I felt a strange thing putting wings on my slippers.

I rose in two jumps to the top of the Tower. There was the Good Fairy of the West pointing to the moonbeams on the Tower roof: “hurry, the comet is fast disappearing.” I stuffed my pajama pocket full. I jammed moonbeams into my dressing-gown pockets, eager to gather them all. “Now you must go,” said the Good Fairy. It started to darken in the Heavens.

I descended to the ground on my feathered slippers. As soon as I touched the Earth, the sky blackened - thunder and lightening.

I ran down the path, losing one of my old leather slippers.

In the morning when I awoke, I wondered - had it all been a dream?

The moonbeams are for our Moonbeam.

I sent a thank you to the Good Fairy and love to you all.

Grandpa

Unsure about the opening bit, and needs a sound update. Might revisit the words and such, and gotta finish the credits.
